Only you see this. What you ordered, what you'd order again, the table to ask for.
Chef Nobu Matsuhisa opened his first U.S. restaurant, Matsuhisa, in Beverly Hills in 1987. In 1988, Robert De Niro dined at Matsuhisa and approached Nobu about opening a New York location. The first "Nobu" restaurant opened in 1994 in Tribeca, NYC, as a joint venture between Matsuhisa, De Niro, Drew Nieporent, and Meir Teper. Nobu first came to Miami in 2001 at the Shore Club in South Beach. The current Nobu Miami relocated to the Eden Roc Miami Beach hotel (4525 Collins Ave) in 2015, as part of a multi-million-dollar renovation that created the Nobu Hotel within the Eden Roc property. The brand now spans 50+ restaurants and 15+ hotels worldwide.
Japanese-Peruvian fusion (Nikkei cuisine), a culinary identity Nobu Matsuhisa pioneered by blending his Japanese training with years spent cooking in Lima, Peru. Signature dishes recognized worldwide include Black Cod with Miso (buttery, sweet-glazed, the dish that put Nobu on the map), Yellowtail Jalapeño (sashimi with garlic puree, jalapeño, and citrus soy), and Rock Shrimp Tempura with creamy spicy sauce. The omakase experience is a multi-course chef's journey through the kitchen's best offerings.
The Nobu brand is one of the most recognized restaurant names worldwide. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa has been honored with numerous awards throughout his career. While the Miami location does not hold a current Michelin star, Nobu Miami is listed in the MICHELIN Guide as a recommended restaurant, and the brand's cultural and culinary influence is widely acknowledged across the industry.
Dress code is smart casual: the atmosphere is upscale but more relaxed than some fine-dining counterparts; smart-casual is recommended for evening dining. Miami Spice 2026: dinner only, $65, available every day (Mon–Sun). One of the broadest availability windows in the program. The Spice menu features Yellowtail Jalapeño, Black Cod Miso Wraps, and Mochi Doughnuts.

Nobu Matsuhisa's legendary Japanese fusion has been the Eden Roc's anchor restaurant for decades. The black cod miso and yellowtail jalapeño remain the two-dish shorthand for Miami's Japanese dining scene. Still delivers, still packs the room.
