The Story
Maestro cantinero Julio Cabrera opened Cafe La Trova in Little Havana in 2019, partnering with James Beard Award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein on the food menu. The bar is built around the Cuban cantinero tradition, the theatrical school of bartending Cabrera has spent his career championing.
