Gramps Getaway is the waterfront sister bar to Wynwood's Gramps, docked at the old Whiskey Joe's spot on Virginia Key at the Rickenbacker Marina. Executive chef James McNeal runs a Caribbean and Florida Keys-leaning kitchen he describes as "really fresh ingredients, unique and proper technique, but overall just really simple food done well," and the place is reachable by boat as easily as by car. Live music and DJ sets run through the week on top of the food and full bar.
