Cipriani Downtown Miami opened in mid-2013 at 465 Brickell Ave inside the Icon Brickell tower, the third U.S. restaurant from the Cipriani family (great-grandsons of Venice restaurateur Giuseppe Cipriani), following locations in New York and Los Angeles. Florentine architect Michele Bonan designed the nautical-inspired dining room to play off the restaurant's bayfront setting.
Cipriani's signature Venetian dishes, like the classic Bellini cocktail and housemade pastas, anchor the menu here, served in a dining room of striped Venetian flooring, walnut wood, and floor-to-ceiling windows over Biscayne Bay. It draws an international, dressed-up crowd for lunch, dinner, and a lively weekend brunch.
The restaurant enforces a smart-casual dress code, no hats, tank tops, flip-flops, or athletic wear, so plan on long pants and a collared shirt. It's open daily from noon to midnight, including Sundays, and reservations are recommended, especially for the bayside terrace and weekend brunch.
