The Story
Chō Funky Asian Bistro opened in April 2026 in the former Paya space on 17th Street, the first solo venture from restaurateur Mohamed "Mo" Alkassar.
Known for
The menu pulls from Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, China, and Indonesia across five sections, Snacks, Raw, Dumplings, Wok, and Mains. The lamb neck khao soi headlines a card that also runs a Vietnamese shrimp roll with nuoc cham and a jackfruit crab curry.
